About WireRead
Independent analysis of AI and the technology industry — the wire, read in full.
WireRead exists for one reason: the most important question about any AI announcement is rarely what shipped, but what it means — for the labs, the market, and the people building on top. Press releases answer the first question. We answer the second.
We cover the frontier model launches and the labs behind them — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and the rest — the tools developers actually use, and the policy that increasingly shapes all of it.
How we work
Every article is researched and drafted with AI assistance and then checked against primary sources— a lab's own announcement, the actual filing, the official documentation — before it is published. We say plainly what is confirmed, what is developing, and what is analysis. When we're uncertain, we tell you. Our full process is on the methodology page, and our AI-assistance is set out in full on our disclosure page.
The standard
We are sourced, dated and corroborated. We don't fabricate quotes, ratings or test results, and we don't advance a "verified" date without a genuine re-check. That discipline is the entire point: analysis is only worth reading if you can trust it.
