Alphabet reports 82% cloud growth and $514 billion backlog in Q2
Google's parent company said second-quarter revenue rose 24% as AI products scaled across billions of users.

Alphabet reported second-quarter 2026 results on 22 July, with total revenue up 24% year on year. The company said Search and other revenue rose 17% and YouTube ad revenue grew 13%.
Google Cloud revenue increased 82%, and the company's cloud backlog reached $514 billion, according to Alphabet's earnings remarks.
Capital expenditure for the quarter was $44.9 billion. Alphabet's future spending commitments climbed to $811 billion, Bloomberg reported.
The Gemini app had 950 million monthly active users, Alphabet said, while Search AI Mode surpassed 1 billion monthly active users.
Google's model APIs now process about 22 billion tokens per minute, up from 16 billion, the company said. More than 9 million developers build with Google's models each month, and nearly 90% of the Fortune 100 use Gemini Enterprise. Alphabet said nearly 500 cloud customers process more than 1 trillion tokens a year.
Gemma models have been downloaded more than 900 million times, including over 300 million downloads of Gemma 4 since April. The Antigravity product has 2.4 million weekly active users, and the Agent Development Kit has nearly 70 million downloads.
YouTube's Ask YouTube feature was used by 140 million people in June, and more than 1.7 billion unique viewers watched World Cup content on the platform. Waymo has completed more than 1 million home deliveries. Chief executive Sundar Pichai said, "Our AI investments are redefining what's possible across every part of our business."
Alphabet said it is pre-training its next model, Gemini 4.
