The answer

Anthropic opened Claude Marketplace, live with more than 2,000 connectors and plugins.

Anthropic said its Claude Marketplace is now open, giving organisations one place inside Claude to add connectors and plugins, buy Claude-powered agents and products, and find service partners to help them deploy the assistant across their business.

The marketplace went live on 23 September with more than 2,000 connectors and plugins available from the first day, and the launch was widely reported from 27 September, according to BleepingComputer.

Among the companies offering connectors and plugins through the marketplace are Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, Notion and Salesforce, giving organisations a way to link Claude directly into tools they may already use for project management, search, productivity and customer records.

Claude-powered products from CrowdStrike, Cursor, Harvey, Legora, Lovable and Snowflake are also listed for sale through the marketplace, spanning security, coding, legal and data tools built on top of Anthropic's models.

Consulting firms Accenture, Boston Consulting Group and Deloitte are among the service partners organisations can find through the marketplace to help them plan and roll out Claude internally, according to gHacks.

Developers can list their own work by building with the Model Context Protocol and Agent Skills and submitting it for inclusion, Anthropic said. Companies with their own products apply to list them directly, while services firms apply to join the Claude Partner Network to be listed as consulting partners.

BleepingComputer noted that anyone can publish to the marketplace, and contrasted the approach with OpenAI's earlier apps marketplace, which it said did not work out.

Connectors let Claude read and write data in outside applications. They rely on the Model Context Protocol, the open standard Anthropic introduced and other companies, including OpenAI, have since adopted.

The catalogue is split into three sections: connectors and plugins, Claude-powered agents and products, and service partners for organisations that want help rolling Claude out across teams.

Anyone can browse the marketplace on Anthropic's Claude website. Anthropic said the aim is to make it easier for teams to find products that already work with Claude, while giving developers and partners a direct route to existing Claude customers.

Connectors in the catalogue include widely used workplace tools such as Google Drive, Gmail, Microsoft 365, Notion and Slack, according to the launch coverage of the marketplace.

Developers, product companies and services firms can all continue to apply for inclusion after launch, so the catalogue can keep growing well beyond its launch-day count. Services firms join through the Claude Partner Network, which lists them as consulting partners for organisations planning a wider rollout.

The launch adds a commercial storefront to a set of developer standards, the Model Context Protocol and Agent Skills, that Anthropic has spent much of the past year encouraging outside developers to build tools and products against.
