OpenAI and Google Cloud said OpenAI's frontier models and Codex workflows are coming to Model Garden.
OpenAI and Google Cloud announced on Wednesday, 21 October, that OpenAI's frontier models and Codex agentic workflows are coming to Google Cloud's Model Garden.
The companies said Google Cloud customers can buy the models through Model Garden. According to PYMNTS, the companies said customers get "native access" for complex agentic workflows at scale.
The access is backed by Google Cloud's data governance and infrastructure, the companies said.
Access through Google Antigravity and the Gemini Agent is "soon to come", according to the announcement as reported by PYMNTS.
The companies pitched the arrangement to enterprises as offering "model choice flexibility and the best model for each task". The report names no specific models.
PYMNTS, citing Reuters, said Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian has said the platform welcomes any model that is popular with developers. It said hyperscalers are becoming the main commercial channels for frontier AI labs and typically take a percentage of sales.
Rival Anthropic took 47% of its 2025 revenue from Amazon's and Google's cloud platforms, according to its IPO filing, as cited by Reuters via PYMNTS.
The source did not give pricing, a list of available models or launch dates. Access through Antigravity and the Gemini Agent has no date beyond "soon to come".
