OpenAI launches GPT-6 in ChatGPT with Intelligent UI
The chatbot can now answer with interactive interfaces such as charts, forms, buttons and calculators instead of text alone.

OpenAI launched GPT-6 in ChatGPT on 7 October, adding interactive interface responses called Intelligent UI.
OpenAI announced GPT-6 with a feature called Intelligent UI on 7 October 2026, letting ChatGPT answer with interactive interfaces instead of text alone.
OpenAI said ChatGPT can now respond with charts, forms, buttons and calculators. Tech Startups described the feature as "a new way for ChatGPT to respond with interactive interfaces rather than conventional text alone."
OpenAI gave four example uses: explaining bicycle components, building a personal wardrobe, splitting a restaurant bill and creating a financial calculator.
OpenAI also said GPT-6 Instant starts answering about 44% sooner on average than GPT-5.6 Instant on questions that need web searches. The figure comes from OpenAI's internal testing.
The rollout began on 7 October for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users. Free and Go users were scheduled to receive it on 8 October, according to Tech Startups' daily news roundup.
The update applies to ChatGPT only. It does not cover the models used in Work and Codex.
OpenAI said more than 1.2 billion people use ChatGPT weekly.
Free and Go users were the last group scheduled to receive GPT-6, with their rollout set for 8 October.
